
Rush succeeds Justin Browning, who was recently named Director of Instruction, and returns to Barren County Schools after serving as Business and Marketing Program Consultant for the Kentucky Department of Education. A longtime Business and Marketing teacher at Barren County High School, she brings a wealth of experience and a passion for preparing students for successful futures.

Mrs. DeVore has served as principal of Eastern Elementary since 2017 and brings more than 20 years of experience in education, including 13 years in school leadership. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to supporting teachers, students, and families.

Thanks to the Kentucky Writing Project, WKU-Glasgow, and Barren Beyond the Bell for putting together an amazing experience for students at the first-ever Youth Innovation Camp! Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to build the skills of teamwork, creative thinking, initiative, and effective communication. Learning while having fun is always a winning combination!

CheyAnne Fant was named Kentucky School Nutrition Association Director of the Year, and Beth Carder was named Kentucky School Nutrition Association Manager of the Year. Both will advance to the national competition.
