Rush succeeds Justin Browning, who was recently named Director of Instruction, and returns to Barren County Schools after serving as Business and Marketing Program Consultant for the Kentucky Department of Education. A longtime Business and Marketing teacher at Barren County High School, she brings a wealth of experience and a passion for preparing students for successful futures.

Congratulations to Erika DeVore on her new role as Director of Instruction, Federal Programs, and After-School Programming for Barren County Schools!

Mrs. DeVore has served as principal of Eastern Elementary since 2017 and brings more than 20 years of experience in education, including 13 years in school leadership. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to supporting teachers, students, and families.

We are excited to welcome her to this district leadership role and look forward to the positive impact she will have on students and staff across Barren County Schools.

Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to build the skills of teamwork, creative thinking, initiative, and effective communication. CheyAnne Fant was named Kentucky School Nutrition Association Director of the Year, and Beth Carder was named Kentucky School Nutrition Association Manager of the Year. Both will advance to the national competition.


We're also proud to share that Angie Riddle was elected Kentucky School Nutrition Association Manager Co-Chair, a statewide leadership role that will allow her to represent school nutrition professionals across Kentucky.
